A bus to take you to the plane ... at Belfast City Airport?

Planes at Belfast City Airport are normally just a hop, skip and a jump from the terminal. This morning, imagine my surprise at being shepherded onto a bus with the other nine passengers!

Maybe they're practicing for later in the year when Ryanair parks its big planes on the runway and they run out of gates next to the terminal?

The Cityjet turboprop (Air France) was parked down outside the old terminal.

Maybe the City Airport should now reopen it as Terminal 2?

(By the way, the Cityjet/Air France flight from Belfast City to London City is surprisingly good. Took off early, flight time of 70 minutes. And not too bumpy. At the London end, Air France had me checked onto the flight somewhere between leaving the train platform and before entering the terminal building! And the driverless Docklands Light Railway trains in and out of the London City Airport are fun. Note that ticket prices seem cheaper the further apart the outbound and return dates.)
